Bodø tangent orkester
I Bodø by i nyåret 2005 kommer det nye band opp som løvetann i vårsola. Et av de siste på stammen er Bodø tangent orkester. De består av seks herrer og en dame, alle med utspring i samtidsmusikk/klassiske musikk miljøet i Bodø. Under ledelse av Øystein Jæger trakterte disse syv menneskene sine tangentinstrumenter av den litt eldre typen synthesizere (Moog,#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 Korg etc ).
I følge åpningstalen til Jæger og utførelsen av Johan Sebastian Bach sin musikk, levnet det ingen tvil om at tangentorkestret var og er et Walter Carlos (senere Wendy Carlos) tribute band. Bach sin musikk har tidligere blitt framført på moog (#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6) av Walter Carlos allerede i 1968 på Switched on Bach albumet. Senere kom også vol 2. Begge disse albumene viser at Bach sin musikk får nye dimensjoner og når nye lyttergrupper, når det blir framført på en moog (#1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6).
Med sin opptreden på Sinus under Bodø International Organ festival 30 mars, som oppvarming for Bugge Wesseltoft, frelste de syv nok noen nye mennesker som ikke hadde noe forhold til Bach eller synth eller begge deler. Selv om konserten var preget av lite øving var kollegiet så profesjonelt at de fleste nok ikke la merke til det. Musikalsk var dette stort for en W. Carlos fan å få oppleve. Bare så synd at dette ikke var bedre annonsert på forhånd så flere av Bodøs Carlos og synth (og begge deler) fans fikk sjansen til å oppleve dette. La oss håpe på en reprise snart. De 40 minuttene de serverte på Sinus må regnes som en forrett og ingenting annet.
